Prahlad and the Pillar

Prahlad was a little boy who loved Lord Vishnu with all his heart.

His father, the king Hiranyakashipu, was very proud. He wanted everyone to pray only to him. But Prahlad kept saying Vishnu's name.

The angry king shouted, "Where is your Vishnu? Is he in this pillar?"

"He is everywhere," said Prahlad calmly.

The king struck the pillar. It cracked open, and out came Narasimha, half man and half lion, who protected Prahlad.

**What we learn:** Faith makes us brave, even when we are small.
