Pradosh Vrat

Pradosh falls on the thirteenth tithi, and is kept for Lord Shiva around sunset.

How to keep it

Fast during the day, or eat simply.
Bathe before sunset.
Offer water, bilva leaves and a lamp to Shiva at twilight.
Chant Om Namah Shivaya.

Katha

When the gods and demons churned the ocean, poison arose. Shiva drank it to protect the world. Tradition holds that the gods praised him at this twilight hour.
