Dussehra · Vijaya Dashami

Dussehra, or Vijaya Dashami, marks the victory of good over evil, recalling Rama's victory over Ravana and Durga's over Mahishasura. Effigies of Ravana are burned at dusk across North India, and Ayudha Puja is kept in the South.
