UtshovDhanteras
Dhanteras, on the thirteenth day of the dark fortnight of Ashwin, opens the Diwali festival. It honours Lord Dhanvantari and Maa Lakshmi. Many buy gold, silver or new utensils and light a lamp for Yama at dusk.
